Materials development for all things ELT.
From pre-school story cards to global course books, and everything in between!
I write all things for English Language Teaching
And I’ve been doing it since I co-created Hoola Hoop – a four-level primary course – nominated for the prestigious ELTONs Awards. We didn’t win but that didn’t matter.
Back in 2005 I was invited to contribute to the Portuguese Ministry of Education’s Primary English education guidelines.
That opportunity led to a Primary course for Portugal and was quickly followed by Magic Adventure, a three-level course for Slovenia.
My portfolio extends far beyond European primary courses.
Over the past twenty years I’ve written:
-

Global Courses & Resources
From students books, activity (work) books to teachers guides. Accompanied by graded readers, audio and video scripts.
-

Tests & Exam Practice Materials
Cambridge English Qualifications (YLE test, Key, preliminary, FCE & CAE), for TOEFL practice, for Trinity YL practice and country specific exams.
-

Teacher Development Courses
Materials, workshops, courses for both F2F and online delivery, detailed lesson plans for early career teachers, new techniques and reflective teaching practices for experienced teachers.
-

Curriculum & Syllabus Guidelines
Frameworks and documents that outline curriculum changes.

It was a real pleasure working with Niki on two levels of the Trailblazer Literacy Anthology. Her subject matter expertise, combined with her engaging writing style, made her a great partner for this project.
Throughout the development process, she delivered creative and pedagogically-sound content and responded well to feedback. She worked collaboratively with the in-house and freelance editors and was always responsive and professional.

Writing based on real-life classrooms
As I regularly teach, I have up-to-date knowledge of current methodologies and learners.
This means that you are working with a writer who anticipates classroom realities and the tasks I produce actually work – they don’t just look good on paper.
As a publisher, you’ll have engaging level-appropriate materials which help learners succeed.
When you work with me, you’re working with a respected professional who:
Knows the classroom from the inside out
Writes for real learners and real teachers
Follows your brief – and makes creative suggestions
Meets deadlines – thanks to being in Australia – you wake up to work in your inbox.
Is collaborative, responsive and as invested in the project’s success as you are.
Brings 30+ years of ELT experience to every task.
Whether you’re developing a course, resource pack, assessment suite or something unique, I can help you create high-quality, impactful materials that reflect well on your organisation.

As an editor, what you are looking for in an author is flair, plenty of good ideas, responsiveness to feedback and ability to stick to deadlines. With Niki, I found that she had all of these traits.

Did you know?
The global ELT market was valued at approximately USD 101.24 billion in 2024 and is projected to reach USD 197.18 billion by 2033, growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 7.69%?
This remarkable growth highlights the potentially increasing global demand for high quality English language teaching resources – and it’s a space I’ve been contributing to for nearly two decades.
Do you want your teaching materials to be part of this growth?
Let’s discuss how I can help you with your publishing plan.

Three months have passed so quickly. At the beginning of the project, I was worried we might not be able to complete it on time. Thanks to your wonderful work we made it - yes, even with a cyclone! How amazing is that? I had a great time working with you!
